Skid Steer Delivery Process in Houston, TX — What to Expect
Quality Rentals Delivered LLC · Houston, TX
Quality Rentals Delivered LLC operates a delivery-only skid steer rental model. We do not maintain a pickup yard. Every rental includes delivery to your Houston job site and pickup when your rental period ends. This guide explains exactly how the delivery process works so you can prepare your site and schedule effectively.
Scheduling Your Delivery
Call 713-766-0701 to schedule delivery. We need the following information: delivery address, preferred delivery date and time window, machine selection (T450 or T76), rental duration, and any attachments needed. For Inner Houston locations (inside Beltway 8), same-day delivery is available when equipment is in stock. Outer Houston locations typically receive next-day delivery.
Delivery Equipment
Bobcat compact track loaders are delivered on a flatbed trailer towed by a commercial truck. The total length of the delivery vehicle is approximately 40-50 feet. Your delivery location needs adequate space for the truck and trailer to position, unload, and turn or back out.
Site Preparation Before Delivery
Before the delivery truck arrives, prepare your site:
Clear the delivery area of parked vehicles, trailers, dumpsters, and other obstacles. Ensure the delivery path is firm enough to support the truck and trailer weight. In Houston's clay conditions, this means avoiding saturated or muddy areas. If the machine needs to access a backyard, open gates and clear the path in advance. Identify where on the property you want the machine positioned after unloading.
The Unloading Process
Our delivery driver positions the trailer, secures the truck, and drives the Bobcat off the trailer under its own power. The driver positions the machine at your designated staging point. A brief walkthrough covers machine controls, fuel level, and rental period details. The driver departs with the empty trailer.
The entire unloading process takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Someone must be present at the delivery location to receive the equipment and sign the rental agreement.
Houston-Specific Delivery Considerations
HOA-restricted communities: Some Houston neighborhoods have delivery hour restrictions. Confirm with your HOA before scheduling. Many restrict commercial deliveries to weekday daytime hours.
Gated communities: Provide gate codes or arrange guest access in advance. The delivery driver needs unimpeded access to your property.
Flood-prone areas: During heavy rain events, delivery may be delayed if road flooding affects the route to your site. We will contact you to reschedule if conditions are unsafe.
Street parking restrictions: Some Inner Loop neighborhoods have permit parking. If the delivery truck needs to stage on the street, confirm that commercial vehicle parking is permitted.
Equipment Pickup
When your rental period ends, call to schedule pickup. Position the machine in an accessible location near where it was originally delivered. Ensure the path is clear for the trailer. The pickup process mirrors delivery — our driver loads the machine onto the trailer and departs.
Return the machine with a full diesel tank. Remove any personal tools or materials from the machine cab before pickup. If the machine has excessive clay buildup (common in Houston), a basic cleaning is appreciated but not required — heavy clay accumulation may result in a cleaning fee.
Delivery Fees
Inner Houston (inside Beltway 8): $125 — covers delivery and pickup. Outer Houston (outside Beltway 8): $200 — covers delivery and pickup. No fuel surcharges. No time-of-day surcharges. The delivery fee is a flat rate that covers both trips.
